Post 2: NYC

In our Family we love sugar, sweets, sugar, and more sugar.  So every bakery/dessert shop we came across you know we had to check it out!  First was NYC's first mobile gourmet cupcake shoppe.  You literally purchase from a truck on the side of the road, I tried the red Velvet and it had great flavor, great frosting, but was a little dry because we hit it at the end of the day.  I'd like to try it in the morning next time!

My cousin (Who lives in the city) said "If you go to Magnolia bakery, you have to try the banana pudding" so when we arrived there and saw what they had on display... you know we couldn't get pudding!  We totally got cake and cupcakes because they were SO beautiful.  But... now that I'm home, I wish I would have tried the pudding.  The flavor of their cupcakes and cake slices were dissapointing.  Not very sweet and sugary, and all 3 of us agreed.  But, it was a darling bakery and they also had cupcakes for Haiti, and super cute T-shirts.  Next time I'll get the pudding!

And last but not least...

My FAVORITE.  Oh this place was heavenly.  The shoppe wasn't quite as cute inside as Magnolia but... there cupcakes were WAY more flavorful.  We went there often to get their muffins and hot chocolate for breakfast.  I tried the cookie dough cupcake and pistachio cupcake.  Yummy.  Their signature cupcakes are filled in the middle with extra frosting, not only do they just taste good but, they look amazing.  They have very unique flavors, which I liked.
I love me a good cupcake and it was such a fun adventure searching down all these delicious shoppes!

I feel like you wrote this post just for me! I can't wait to visit NYC one day and visit all of these cupcake shops. I might have to borrow some of these pics for my cupcake blog.

So jealous of your trip! I scrolled through and saw you had a bachelor posting. How do I love and hate that show all at the same time? Is Jake not the biggest goober ever? I have been rooting for Tenley from the begining. She will be his little wifey. She was Ariel for goodness sakes! Vienna looked like a founding father that one week. She is a tramp! So part of me hope he pickes her...it would be funny. When my hubby comes home from work on Mondays he starts singing "on the wings of love". It's the best. Just thought I'd share that with ya!
