1950's recipe books

Since my Grandfather's passing I've received some totally awesome stuff. I got to rummage through my Grandparents house and take whatever I wanted! I got some sweet retro plates with green flowers (But my brother in law said "They're not retro, they're old") Thanks Sean. I got a new (But old, but good) Bernina sewing machine, a kitchen scale, hankies, sheets, pots and pans, too much to mention. But one of my fav's is the recipe books. I found a tiny Betty Crocker "Bisquick party book" that says on the front "97 gay new ideas and recipes", boy how times have changed! They actually have some really good recipes and the pictures are hilarious!

Could you imagine if we had a cookbook in this day and age that had gay on it? I think it would cause some problems. Let me know when you make some of the items in the book. I hope they turn out to be good!
