Dreaming of my own...

So we're home. First thing on the list this morning: laundry. First off, all of you who own your own washer and dryer... be grateful! This is me right about now:

Okay not really, but close. Sharing a laundry room with everyone and their dog is not fun. Our laundry never really smells clean and I am getting tired of cleaning out the lint. Today it was filled with (Someone else's) hair, sand, and lint. Yuck, I hate putting my fingers in there! So today I am dreaming of my own bright, clean, yummy smelling, fresh, laundry room. Someday...

i'm dreaming with you! mine is in the nasty garage, with spiders, dirt, and darkness. but i have to admit it's one of the nicest things about a house. alyssa just said "Noah, nice Noah and she's giving kisses!" Too cute!

Anyone with a baby ESPECIALLY deserves a laundry room...you'll get one of these days, and you'll do more laundry than you prob. need to! (but it's so nice!)

I don't blame you for wanting your own laundry room! The last time i was there and needed to do laundry i had the hardest time... I forgot the soap the first time i went out, the second time i forgot the money and third off, I hate doing it late at night. I think someone is going to nab me or do something bad to me! Hopefully your next place has a laundry room just for you!

I hear you. In Berkeley the shortest path to the shared laundry room was down a steep and muddy hillside so I always had Dean do the laundry at night (I would sort it and he would take it down,) but he refused to do more loads than he could do in one batch in the amount of washers they had there (6) and since we had two kids by then, it was hard to get all the laundry done. And when one of us was sick and creating extra laundry (which happens all the time when you have young kids) it was such a pain having to make extra trips down th hill. It was expensive, too, and a nuisance to have to keep quarters around.

Anyway, I feel for you. I love having a large-capacity washer now. (Even so, I have to do laundry constantly to be able to keep up, but at least I do not have to leave my home or share!)
