My cousin Sarah is pregnant with twins, a boy and girl. While I was visiting in Utah I re-fashioned 2 baby outfits made from a dress shirt that used to belong to our sweet Grandpa Hall.
(I dyed the onsie and elastic waistband. All the buttons are from Our Grandma Halls "Vintage" button collection. I always love a good excuse to make something.)

Very clever idea, Chelsea! Grandma and Grandpa are smiling! Grandma was always remaking old clothing into new things. There was enough fabric in Grandpa's old dress Navy pants (dark blue) to make a suit for Aunt Sherlene.
Love,
Aunt Ginger
That is awesome. You are so creative, and what a very, special gift. Love the buttons.
wow, those are darling!!! i think she will be very happy.
Chelsey, this was so creative and cute. And don't forget, yours was the gift that made the mom-to-be cry!
Are there a bunch more of grandpa's shirts? Ever since the shower, I keep thinking how much I'd like to make a dress for Ellen or a shirt for Adam out of one.
You know i love it!
That was the cutest gift Chelsey! So sentimental and thoughtful. I love that you are taking up another sewing class. That dress looks great on you!
I found your blog through Hayley's. Your little onesies are soo cute. I especially love this little dress. TO DIE FOR! I'd love to buy some stuff once you get it up in your Etsy shop.
