Fred ice trays

I love these skull and cross bone ice trays. I've also seen them used as Jello molds.

These Jewel ice trays are fun too.
I found them both on amazon.

Good boy

Yesterday Noah and I made sugar cookies shaped like pumpkins. Noah sat on the counter as I frosted them and said "Cookie" over and over. I just couldn't believe what a good boy he was being. He sat there patiently, not touching any of the perfectly frosted cookies and would ask me "Peas" (Please) for a bite of one. It was so fun. I really hope he stays this sweet, he is so patient and obedient these days.

New camera

Well I called the "Official" Casio repair shop in California and they said I should save myself money and purchase a new camera rather then fix the other one. I was sad, but it was fun getting a new one, I got the same camera just a newer version. Already had so much fun with it at the beach yesterday. Yes I said the beach, the weathers great.

Where's Waldo?

For mutual on Wednesday night we played "Where's Waldo" (Or, are you my leader). It's where the leaders dress in disguise, go to the mall before the youth arrive and act like normal shoppers, then the youth have to try and find us. So I volunteered to dress up. The other leaders wanted me to be an old woman in a wheelchair but I decided to dress as a man. Dave and I were laughing so hard. He gave me a beard using vaseline and cocoa powder. He dressed me in his clothes, glasses, and a beanie. I headed to the mall feeling so weird, worrying I would get pulled over and the cop wouldn't believe it was me in the license photo. I went in (Still feeling so weird) sat on a couch, put on my ipod and closed my eyes. Dave's glasses made my eyes hurt because they're so thick (He had lasik which is why he doesn't wear them anymore). The youth eventually found me but I scared the heck out of them because they weren't sure if it was me. The bishop said I looked like a really creepy guy! It was fun and I was told I had the best disguise of all the leaders. As I was getting my disguise on I was asking myself why I volunteered but in the end I knew why, it was so funny and the kids loved it. I love working ith the youth, they are so fun.

Camera down

One of my best girlies, Alicia delivered 2 healthy little girls Monday night (She named them Grace and Iseabella). I don't think I've ever held such small babies, only 5 lbs each, they are so darling. So me, trying to be a nice friend got her a beautiful bouquet of pink flowers, I set them on the passenger seat not realizing my camera was underneath, started driving and OOPS, water leaked all over it and now it won't work. Just in time for Halloween. I really love my camera, (But I did find an old camera in storage that will do the job until the Casio is replaced). I'm so sad!

Making things

I made Dave and Noah ties. Noah's is a spooky Halloween tie and he looked like such a little stud at church on Sunday.

I also made my first crocheted hat for Noah. I am now attempting to add a brim, he's such a good boy, he always keeps his hats on.

Big Bear

Dave had a 3 day break from work so we took a trip to Big Bear with Ryan, Jen, and Alyssa. It was so freezing! We weren't quite prepared for 30 degree weather which is why we took 4 trips to Kmart. It was fun to get away from the heat and be in the mountains. We rode the alpine slides, went bowling, went on a hike, and ate lots of good food. I had 3 milkshakes in one weekend... wow. Hope you like the pictures.

Here is Noah rockin' out to Danity Kane. He loves to dance.

Yellow mellow

Love this petite sofa. It would be so cute and cozy in a bright white room (With no children around to make it dirty).

Lost kitty

I'm not sure if I've introduced our kitty on my blog. His name is Meatloaf, he is a total house cat (Meaning he NEVER goes outside), and he has the cutest personality. Yesterday I was cleaning and opened the front door and (Oops) the kitty got out. Later on in the evening I realized I hadn't seen him all day. Dave and I started searching the neighborhood calling "Kitty, kitty"Dave even offered some neighbor kids 20 bucks if they found our cat. Since he never goes out we knew he wouldn't make it long outside in the crazy, cruel world! Dave was heart broken, he seriously loves the cat. Around 8pm Dave decided to check one last time for the night. Noah and I waited home with the doors open hoping Meaty would stroll in. Suddenly Dave came rushing in and said "You gotta see this!" He found the dang cat! He was trapped in our next door neighbors house peeking his head out the window! My first thought was that they stole our cat, then I thought they probably didn't even know he was in there or they wouldn't have locked him in! Nobody was home and I was afraid he would poop on their carpet so I told Dave to see if the window was open. Sure enough it was open, we broke in and got the cat! Dave was screaming "Shoot, shoot" over and over as he freed the kitty and tried to put the screen back in place before they arrived home (We hardly know them so if they caught us it would be really weird). Oh we were laughing so hard. Dave is SO happy to have the cat back and I think Meaty is happy to be back too. What a silly night. Lets hope our neighbors don't blog!

I'm not big into embroidery but I found this website that sells wicked awesome patterns like the ones pictured below. So fun and silly, makes me want to cross stitch.

S.E.W

Saturday night Dave took Noah to a friends and I got the night off. I went to Barnes and Noble and checked out a bunch of sewing books and came home with this

I'm already 50 pages in and am really enjoying it. Reading about all her talents and skills makes me wish I could go to her Make workshop in New York and sew with her. I love learning new things... especially when it comes to my hobbies!

Utah

Sorry there are SO many pictures! I'm like a tourist with my camera. In Utah Noah learned to talk really good. We would point at DJ and say "Who's that?" and Noah would say "DJ", today I pointed at a picture of Jesus and said "Who's that?" Noah said "DJ". If I could freeze Noah right now and keep him this age I would. He is so cute.

We're back

Well we made it home safely and we had so much fun. Here are a few reasons why I love visiting Utah.

I love the sound of the loud crickets outside, the smell of aspen trees, the sight of the beautiful colored leaves, the smell of Mom's house, lunch with Dad, hearing Dj's music in the background, my silly nephews, Mom's creativity, Carli's laugh, Fluffy clouds, Keslee's pumpkins, soft sheets, yummy soaps, homemade grape jam on Grandma Sycamore's bread, raspberry filled donuts, chocolate milk and Cafe rio. Seeing friends like Britt, Heidi, and Hayley was so fun too. Pictures coming soon.
