First off I want to thank Barbara and John for putting together this amazing book! It's like a dream come true for me and something I will cherish the rest of my life. I have always tried to keep a journal so one day when I am old and crazy (Or dead) my children can read my childhood memories and see my life as it once was. Lucky for me my Grandmother Hall actually did this, then my cousins turned it into one big book, and now I am reading the best book of my life! I feel as if she is here again and telling me so many awesome stories including her mother plucking the feathers off of a chicken, how amazing it was getting indoor plumbing, and stories of her father walking to work! She is such a great story teller. It is so fun reading about her life and her feelings. I'm only 25 pages in and already feeling so very grateful for this amazing book! She was such an amazing and inspiring person, I just love (And miss) my Grandma!

Glad you got the book! I am so happy to hear you are already reading it too(: Didnt we have such a sassy grandma? I love reading all of her crazy stories. Makes me miss and appreciate her even more this memorial day.
I am also thankful for John and Barbara for giving me on of these books. I have read about the same as you have, I try reading it before bed each night. It is neat to hear stories that you never knoew about her growing up. I cannot wait to read more!
Some day you can have your blog print and bound to share with your posterity. At least that's what keeps me blogging a lot of the time.
That is so amazing. I have a life story type book of my G-mas, but a copy of journals would be so cool, to see how they really thought and felt at specific times would be so great. I wish I was better at the journal thing, that definitely inspires me.
This is just so incredibly amazing!! A true treasure! What I would give for something like this on one of my ancestors! LUCKY!!
