Crazy Santa Ana's

It is SO windy here! The Santa Ana's are blowing up to 70 mph tonight. Supposedly they are supposed to get up to 3 didgets by the end of the week. I have been sneezing all day and every time I go outside I get dirt or something in my eyes. Our Bishop said his tree blew over, took the power line with it and ended up on his neighbors truck. Wouldn't that be a treat to wake up to? Dave and I drove around tonight and saw so many trees laying on the ground. The winds have created SO many fires, they are all over. The wind just makes them spread. We got good news tonight that Noah will hopefully be getting a new cousin or.... cousins next year! We would love that! We are praying for you {You know who you are}. So something crazy happened on our way home from church. Dave and I had just pulled in to our complex and were making a left hand turn when this young girl in her {crappy} car came flying around the corner right at us. It was crazy, it was like slow motion! It was obvoius that she couldn't fit and would have to wait for us to turn but she just kept going. SHE HIT US! And then she started driving away! What kind of crazy person drives away? I gave her the hand signal to stop, so she did. And when I got out of the car she said to me "It didn't do anything". Ok, so I am just supposed to believe her and let her drive away?! No. Well we got out to see the damage and she hit our tire. It wasn't bad enough to do anything but I just can't handle the fact that she was going to drive away and just tell us through her {Rolled up} window that "It didn't do anything". What is wrong with people? she didn't even say she was sorry. Oooh my heart was pounding after that, I was so mad. Dave and I just looked at each other and laughed.

What a weekend
This weekend was great. Brandon and Brittany came to town, Shawn and Darcy came to town, Brad and Tanya came to town, Randy and Ashley came to town, and the Brady's came to town. We went to Disneyland all day Friday, it was so fun and we were beat by the end of the day. While there, I randomly ran into my cousin Emily and her husband Kelly, it was so fun catching up! Shawn and Darcy stayed at our house Friday night, we all ate CPK at almost midnight, and ate pancakes for breakfast. Big Shawn bought a new surf board so that took us to San Clemente where we were all entertained at the beach watching him in the water. Dave and I came home tonight and walked to this new frozen yogurt place called "Cherry on top" it was SO yummy, I got peach yogurt with kiwi, pineapple and strawberries on top. I will definitely be back at that place sometime soon! We love our friends and love when they come to visit! Thanks for such a fun weekend!

Half way to 1 year
Noah had his 6 month doctor appointment today. 6 months? How fast has that gone by? It feels like yesterday my belly was as big as a basketball (Literally) and I couldn't wait for the day when I would meet my darling little man. Miss Nancy and Keslee had already been here waiting for a week. We tried everything we could think of to get Noah out of there, walnuts, walking, and pushing my bike on the sand at the beach. We almost went to the extreme of driving to L.A. to check out this restaraunt that had some "special salad" that was known to put women into labor (Something special in the salad dressing). But finally 7 days late he arrived. What a day! So here we are 6 months later, he conquered his third round of shots today and has been sleeping for the last 4 hours. I woke him once to feed him and he just went right back to sleep, I keep touching his tummy to make sure he is alive! I am so grateful for my little guy, he is such a sweet, patient, happy boy. He is going to be a year before we know it. I am definitely enjoying my time with Noah while he is little! Happy 6 months Lakes!

Country girl
You may have noticed that I have a few country songs playing on my blog. And if you knew me in high school you know that I was not a country music fan! Well I am now older and wiser and my eyes have been opened to country music. I am now a fan. About 2 years ago my husband decided he was a cowboy, he didn't ride horses (Still doesn't), didn't wear wranglers, pretty much didn't do anything cowboy but listen to the music. Well since I am around him so much I was forced into listening to the music and grew to love it! I love rascal flatts, dixie chicks, Josh Gracin, Miranda Lambert, and She daisy, just to name a few. I think of cheerleading camp when my friends (Brooke in particular) were listening to Deana Carter, "Strawberry wine i'm 17" remember that? Well now I know you were right the entire time, country music is good! Thanks to Dave for opening my eyes!
This is about as country as Dave and I get, Dave in his "Trendy" Wranglers and me in my cowgirl boots (which you can't see in this picture).

Utah trip
Sorry to all my blogging fans (Lynn, Alise) but I was out of town, and thought I might take a little blogging break! We had such a fun time. Although we did miss Dave a lot. When we flew in it was snowing! I was not expecting that, I was wearing flip flops... oops. But as the week went on it got warmer, thank goodness. I have now come down with an awful cold and I am praying Noah doesn't catch it! That would be no fun. Hope you like the pictures!
